Dear Mommy Debb,

I wanted to let you know about my first day in my new home. First I want to tell you that I miss you so much! When we pulled up to my new house Lexie from across the street wanted to meet me. She is a black lab mix and much bigger than me. She was playing with me and flipping me around and then I stood up to her and patted her in the snout a few times to show her there was a new ruler in the neighborhood!!!

I'm doing very well in my new home, and have had only two accidents. Matt and David blamed themselves for not keeping me in sight. I met my Aunt Denise and she is already begging to watch me. David's newphew and neice came down and I was a surprise for them. Matt and I hid in the laundry room and they opened the door to find me there. They are very cute and they were very excited. I have done nothing buy play the whole time I have been here. Everyone keeps petting me and telling me how cute I am. Joey is 8 and his sister Taylor is 10. We watched a movie called Curious George and I snuggled on the sofa with both of them. I play for awhile and I take naps under the table in the breakfast room. That really seems to be my favorite place right now.

I love going outside and exploring my new back yard. It's not nearly as much space as I'm used to, but there is a fence and there are some woods to run and explore. I have a kennel here and they tried to put me in it. I was not very happy with it and put on a great performance. Matt laid on the floor outside the kennel to get me to calm down, but I wasn't having any of it and they let me out. When it was time to go to bed, they tried the kennel thing again. I just barked and cried until they let me out. I heard David say that he didn't want me to wake up Joey. Well, I got my way for the third night in a row! Yeah!! I slept in the big peoples bed!!!! I got up at 7:30 and we went right outside, I did my doody and then came back in to eat and drink. We played for a few minutes and we went outside again. I went potty and then we played and then I took a nap. Everyone woke up and we had breakfast and played in the family room. I already have toys here and we played with balls. I love them. I pick them up in my mouth and then I pounce on them and let them roll. Everyone was laughing at me and kept taking pictures and videos. Did you send me to Hollwood? I really feel like a star here, and truth be told, I am already starting to rule the house. Shhhh. Don't tell.

Thank you so much for all the love and attention you have given me. You have set me out on a great path. Everyone kept saying how well behaved I am and that it is great that I am pretty much potty trained. Everyone has fallen in love with me and there is talk of Taylor and Joey wanting a pup like me in May. I am going to the Vet on Tues. and then I start puppy classes next Sat. I am having a really good time and will keep you updated and send you pictures. Thanks for giving me such a great start and finding me a great home. I think I'm going to like it here!! We already have plans to go to the beach!!!

A big snuggle hug and a doggy kiss,

George

Scoobs outlide with green grass

I thought you'd like to see how much Scooby has grown! He is such a fun pup, the boys have so much fun with him. They like to wrestle, and Scoobs has the perfect temperment. We have taught him all the basic commands (sit, stay, and down) and now we are working on a few tricks. I'm pretty sure I can get him to jump through a hoola hoop! Thank you so much for this sweet, loving little character, he's a great addition to our family!!

Doodle Treat PhotoHi Debbie, I thought you might want to hear how DoodleBug is doing. She's a good girl most of the time. Still not housebroken, but definitely getting better. We even left her out in the house for about 3 hours today while we were gone and she didn't have any accidents. She'll get there...still young yet. Ron has taught her to sit and shake hands.

Here's the address of a picture I took today of both DoodleBug and DeeOhGee waiting for 'Daddy' to give them a treat. I hope you like it.

Eli with toung hanging out

Hi Debbie,

Our puppy is doing great. He hasn't had an accident in the last 6 days except once in his crate. We are very pleased with him. He still has a wonderfully thick coat and is not shedding. A neighbor down the street got their golden doodle from Laurelridge in Blacksburg, they paid twice the price and their puppy is definitely not as large and beautiful as Eli and he is shedding.

Eli sleeping on pillowThe kids are doing well with the dog. We had a few issues at the beginning with the dog play biting the kids and causing them to be scared a bit. However, now that we found this other golden doodle puppy down the street, Eli is getting lots of exercise playing with his new friend Porter!

He has been very healthy, no problems whatsoever! I attached a photo for you to see!

Hi Debbie,

Thought I'd send you a picture of Eli, the puppy we got from you in January. He is doing really well! He's big! 64 lbs right now! In the last picture, the dog on the left is his buddy who lives down the street. Another GD who is about a month older. They are best buddies! Eli is a beautiful dog we get compliments all the time. If you ever get any pictures of his brothers and sisters, I'd be curious to see what they look like!

Hi Debbie,

We got our mini golden doodle from you in 2006 for Christmas. We named her Sandy. I just want to let you know that she is the most incredible dog ever. I can't imagine what our lives were like without her, except we would have more toys since she still likes to chew:) She is so friendly and loving and great with children. Just so you know, she is spoiled rotten and is very well loved.

Thank you,

Traci Daughtry
